Mad Hatter Costume and Other Ideas for Halloween

We know that the Mad Hatter costume is an exciting costume that is very popular for Halloween. The Hatter’s hat is even a big seller at other times of the year. What is even cooler is that this costume is just the tip of the iceberg when it comes to dressing for Halloween night. If you happen to be celebrating with a group of friends and one of them is dressed as the Mad Hatter, the rest of you can dress accordingly and create a huge theme.

The most obvious way that you can do this is for everyone to wear a Halloween costume from Alice in Wonderland. For the women, the most popular costume is Alice herself. This would be easy to put together, just start with a blue dress. Another possibility is the Queen of Hearts. This would be a really fun character to portray, as you can run around all night yelling, “Off with their heads!” Women could even wear a female Mad Hatter costume if they wish.
There are also gender neutral outfits (in addition to the Mad Hatter costume). The White Rabbit, the Dormouse, and the Cheshire Cat are all great costume suggestions. Twiddle Dee and Twiddle Dum also are common to see on Halloween.

If you want to go beyond Halloween, there are other characters to dress as that go well with a Mad Hatter costume. An idea that not everyone thinks of is to dress as one of the many Johnny Depp characters. Fortunately, there are many colorful people to choose from. Captain Jack Sparrow, Willy Wonka, Edward Scissorhands, and Rango are just a few. Look up Johnny Depp on IMDB and see all of the other parts he has played. I’m sure you will find something that appeals to you.
